Third ship for Atlantic Offshore from Zamakona

This is the third vessel the yard has built for Atlantic Offshore, which is carrying out a fleet modernisation programme, with nine newbuilds contracted, four of which have already been delivered.

The ship contracted at Zamakona is a Havyard-designed HY 820 field support vessel (FSV) which will operate for Shell UK over a period of five years. Completion is scheduled for the second quarter of 2015.

The new ship is similar to two HY 820s ordered in 2012 by Atlantic Offshore, which are scheduled for 2014 delivery. The vessels are of 66.8m length, 16m width, capable of 14 knots service speed, and 65,000kg bollard pull for towing. They are certified as rescue vessels, with 300 person capacity.
