BWTS retrofit contract

‘Orange Sun’, one of the Atlanship fleet of juice tankers to be retrofitted with BWTS by Panasia

The company regards it as significant that Atlanship has ordered BWTS for its whole fleet of six ships without having gone through the normal phase of a trial installation on a single vessel. The contract is for Panasia’s GIII model, designed for retrofitting, which features a particularly small footprint as well as recently-obtained USCG approval..

The company said that “Panasia Engineering and Service will provide its ‘pit stop retrofit service’ (PSRS) that offers a total solution for retrofit projects from consulting to engineering, installation, and test drive using its proven technologies and infrastructure, starting with European countries beginning this June.”

Rotterdam-based Atlanship is mainly involved in ship management and distribution of food-related goods, being responsible for around 70% of all orange juice transport worldwide
