New fuel optimising monitor launched

The company describes EVP as “the backbone for all Eniram optimisation applications.” It is intended to be installed onboard and integrated with existing systems. According to Eniram, faced with increased operating costs, shipping companies are seeking new ways to optimise operations of existing fleets as well as new builds. EVP’s new applications addressing speed management and engine performance can be combined with Eniram’s dynamic trimming technology, to achieve claimed fuel savings of 10% or more.

Eniram says its is the first company to collect and store real-time dynamic vessel data to provide fuel efficiency guidance. Data collected by EVP are analysed and modelled by Eniram’s analysis methodology, so that the connection between crew operations and fuel consumption can clearly be seen and the impact of influencing factors such as current, wind and waves can be precisely pinpointed and quantified.

The latest version offers, among other new features, scalability to extend optimisation to areas such as speed and engine management, and a web-based user interface enabling access from any onboard computer, iPad or other devices
