KR to supply new EMSA to Paris

A ‘My Ship MLC’ facility will be added to address the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC), enabling PSCOs to follow the EU and international legislation consistently and more effectively.

A spokesperson for the KR, told The Motorship: “It is difficult to keep track of new regulations and amendments to the existing regulations governing international shipping, which are coming into effect continuously.”

“In this regard, the ‘RuleCheck’ system allows PSCOs of Paris MOU to produce a checklist of the relevant rules and procedures applicable to specific vessels. Checklists can be created to provide full details for initial as well as for more detailed or expanded inspections,” they added.

In 2007, KR won a tender to develop and supply the initial ‘RuleCheck’ system to EMSA. The system brings together a complete list of wide ranging rules and procedures required by PSCOs in the Paris MOU region.

The new system will be delivered to EMSA at the end of the year.
