Thruster monitor reduces downtime and increases productivity
The monitor is claimed to help predict failure at the earliest possible stage, thus avoiding costly unplanned repairs and downtime. It is designed to ensure that any damage, wear or necessary adjustments are identified immediately, allowing preventative action to be taken.
It provides real-time feedback on a range of oil and vibration parameters, and can be combined with existing thruster and ship management systems. By extending intervals between class surveys, it can reduce dry-docking times and increase ship availability.
The CMT thruster monitor is designed for propulsion and positioning thrusters, both tunnel and azimuth types, and is suitable for all brands of thruster. It is a modular system providing on-screen trending and can be remotely accessed using a standard internet connection.
