Asphalt tanker launch

The 19,000 DWT T.ESRA, which has cargo tanks independent from the hull structure, has the capacity to carry 18,000m3 of oil products and asphalt products.

It is the first in a series of two tankers for Ditaş, a Turkish company which provides tanker brokering services in the domestic and international market.

Its priority is to secure the sea-borne transportation demand of Turkish Petroleum Refineries Corp (Tüpras), but it acts as a broker for other companies as well.

T.ESRA and the second vessel T.AYLİN, which is currently in production, are 156.5 m long, designed as single-screw and powered by a two-stroke engine rated at 5,600 kW.

RMK Marine is part of Koç Holdings. The shipbuilder specialises in commercial and military vessels and in the superyacht sector.
