DSME wins ice-class gas tanker order

A report from Korea’s Yonhap news agency said that the Russian state-run shipping company Sovcomflot has placed the order with DSME. The contract is said to be worth 339.3 billion won (US$367.4 million), and the ship is scheduled for June 2016.

According to DSME, the icebreaking LNG carrier will be used in developing a gas field in the Yamal Peninsula, in the western part of Siberia.
