Rolls-Royce is supplying its equipment for a number of PSVs

The first is for a package for two platform supply vessels (PSVs) of UT 755 LC design being built by Norwegian yard Simek for UK-based Fletcher Shipping Ltd.

Rolls-Royce will design and deliver main engines, generators, thrusters, switchboards, deck machinery, bulk handling systems and dynamic positions systems.

The second contract is to provide design, integrated power and propulsion systems and equipment for two offshore service vessels for Norwegian owner Island Offshore.

The latest Rolls-Royce designed UT 717 CDX PSVs will encompass an integrated power and propulsion system incorporation main engines, reduction gears, controllable pitch propellers, bow and stern thruster, steering gears, deck machinery, a dry bulk system and an automation and control system.

The vessels, which will be 86m with a dead weight of 4,200 DWT, will be ready for deliver in 2015.
