Rolls Royce has joined a long list of OEMs officially recognising the VGP compliance of the EnviroLogic EALs

The approval covers Rolls-Royce’s VM Series, Neptune and Aquarius stabilisers, as well as older (pre-1993) International-type stabilisers.

“The VGP requirements continue to push OEMs and end users to use and highlight products like our EnviroLogic EALs,” said Mark Miller, executive vice president of business development, RSC Bio Solutions.

“Rolls-Royce has joined a long list of OEMs officially recognising the technical feasibility and VGP compliance of our EnviroLogic EALs. As more in the industry understand and implement changes to meet VGP regulations, we expect this OEM list to grow, further affirming EnviroLogic products as proven EALs.”

EnviroLogic EALs are approved for a wide range of applications including controllable pitch propellers, thruster and hydraulic fluids and other oil-to-sea interfaces including lubrication discharges from stern tubes, thruster bearings, stabilisers, rudder bearings, azimuth thrusters, propulsion pod lubrication, wire rope and mechanical equipment subject to immersion.

This latest approval for EnviroLogic products will join the many other original equipment manufacturer (OEM) approvals already held, including: Berg Propulsion, Blohm+Voss, Brunvold, IHC Merwede, Kamewa, Rolls Royce, Schottel, Thrustmaster and Wärtsilä.
