Renewable ship energy agreement

The EMP systems in the agreement include marine solar power systems and the Aquarius management and automation system (MAS), which is described by EMP as a cost effective alarm handling, performance monitoring and data logging platform suitable for a wide range of ships which can be seamlessly integrated with renewable energy solutions. It is based upon the KEI 3240 data logger architecture, already widely used on various types of ship. EMP adds that the Aquarius MAS is able to monitor and log fuel oil consumption in real time, plus calculate NOx, SOx and CO2 emissions.

Initially both companies will co-operate in promoting EMP’s technologies to shipyards and shipowners in Singapore and Myanmar with a focus on integrating the Aquarius MAS with marine solar power solutions as a means to reduce fuel consumption on ships and offshore support vessels.
