MacGregor equipment for Malaysia
Two of the three 80m ice-class vessels being built for the international offshore oilfield services provider, are designed for support services. The third is a multi-purpose duty rescue vessel.
All will have a 60 tonne bollard pull and will be equipped with MacGregor electro-hydraulic windlass/mooring winches, capstans, tugger winches and storage reels, along with anchor handling/towing winches with a 120 tonne line pull and 200 tonne brake holding capacity.
Equipment delivery is scheduled for November 2014.
MacGregor has also won an order from Bumi Armada Berhad to supply a Pusnes offloading system for a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) conversion project.
Bumi Armada will use a recently built ice-class tanker for the FPSO conversion, which will take place at Keppel Shipyard Ltd in Singapore. Once completed, FPSO Armada Kraken will have a total storage capacity of 600,000 barrels and will be deployed at the Kraken field located in the UK sector of the North Sea.
The Pusnes offloading system will be delivered by March 2015.
