Multi-purpose UT OSV is first to be built in Turkey

The company says this is the first UT design vessel to be built by a Turkish shipyard. It is a new design known as the UT 7521 WP, suitable for a range of offshore duties. The 6,000dwt ship will be 98.9m length oa on a beam of 21m, and is scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2016.

It will be the first ship with the newly developed SAVe CUBE electric propulsion system, designed to operating the main engines at the most efficient fuel and environmental speed/power ratio, for increased efficiency, reduced emissions and lower fuel consumption. The ship will feature the Rolls-Royce unified bridge. Rolls-Royce will supply the integrated DP2 power and propulsion system incorporating azipull propellers, bow and stern thrusters, as well as a package of deck machinery, dry bulk system, and its latest generation automation and control system.2
