The new centre extends development, manufacturing and testing facilities open to the Gjerdsvika maritime cluster where Stadt is based by 3,600sq m

The new centre features around 3,600sq m of working space, and is jointly occupied by the several local companies that have built a growing maritime cluster in the mid-West Norwegian town over the generations.

The new building significantly enhances development, testing and engineering facilities at the complex. Hallvard Slettevoll, founder and CEO of Stadt explained that the next stage of investment will be to improve the harbour facilities under a government-financed project of more than €15 million.

The new centre was opened as Stadt celebrates its 30th anniversary, having developed five generations of its AC drive technology since 1985.
