The Nacos Platinum Integrated Navigation Automation Control System is based on an Ethernet-based network and covers all aspects of integrated bridge and machinery monitoring.

“Wärtsilä has a leading global position in providing state-of-the-art integrated automation, navigation and control systems for mega and medium sized container vessels,” said, Maik Stoevhase, head of the automation, navigation and communication business area at Wärtsilä.

He added: “This order offers further evidence of this, and we are both pleased and proud to be cooperating with the owners and HHIC in this important project.”

The platform combines all relevant navigation and automation tasks under a single Human Machine Interface umbrella.

It uses modern ring topology and provides the flexibility to navigate, control, and monitor the vessel from different multi-functional operator stations.

The vessels are being built at the HHIC-Phil yard in Subic Bay, Philippines and delivery of the equipment is scheduled to commence in May 2016.
