Eniram acquisition to boost Wärtsilä digital services
The Finnish technology provider’s solutions – ranging from trim, speed and engine optimisation tools to full fleet analysis – are installed on more than 270 vessels. The acquisition will enhance Wärtsilä’s capabilities in data analytics, modelling and performance optimisation, the company said.
Pierpaolo Barbone, president, Wärtsilä Services, said: “Eniram’s offering and solutions complement the recently launched Wärtsilä Genius services portfolio. Together we will enable our customers to optimise their assets and improve predictability, as well as support them with real-time analytics. Further product launches from Wärtsilä and Eniram are to be expected in the near future.”
Henrik Dahl, CEO and co-founder, Eniram, added: “Wärtsilä’s leading market position coupled with Eniram’s cutting-edge technology forms an unbeatable combination in the marine digitalisation space. With Wärtsilä’s capabilities and resources, we can offer even more customer value.”
Headquartered in Helsinki, Eniram has 89 employees worldwide – with subsidiaries in the UK, USA, Germany and Singapore – and generated turnover of more than €10 million last year. Ownership of the company will be transferred to Wärtsilä with effect from 1 July.
