Fuel cost and emission reductions for COSCO

The 10,062 TEU container ship, which was coated with the HPS four years ago, has sliced fuel costs by $4.5m and reduced CO2 emissions by some 29,500 tonnes.

HPS combines Jotun’s advanced SeaQuantum X200 antifouling, enhanced technical service and performance analysis according to ISO 19030.

The coating limits the growth of organisms on the hull – minimising frictional resistance – while the analysis and guarantee ensure measurability and accountability.
