Tekomar engine diagnostics for APL fleet

Combined with CMA vessels already using Tekomar Xpert, the group will deploy the software on a total of 140 ships, making it the biggest user of the diagnostics programme to date.

Tekomar XPERT enables operators to optimise their engines based on accurate diagnostics, quantified potential savings and consequent proposed actions. The same information is shared with shore staff where fleet comparison and analysis can be made. Interfaces to other systems allow performance indicators to be taken over to third party systems for overarching dashboard previews.

CMA CGM started using Tekomar XPERT in 2014, with an initial 70 vessels. The programme was later extended to the newbuild fleet and the liner’s ship manager CMA Ships continues to deploy the system to new buildings as they enter service.
