1999 Ship repair directory

This issue of Ship Repair included the Shiprepair Directory which lists repair facilities, country-by-country and port-by-port under 16 ocean areas.

The information is given for each company: full name and postal address; telephone and fax; plus email and website details if applicable. It also give the names of company officials responsible for repairs.

Details of major facilities available include: drydocks in order of length; floating docks in order of length; Syncrolifts and other shiplifts in order of lift capacity; and slipways in order of length; plus brief notes of services offered.

Published with this supplement is a wall map indicating the number and type of docks available at each port. Explanations of the symbols and abbreviations used on the map is given in the accompanying table. Note: the minimum length of drydock or floating dock included on the map is 100m, and the minimum size of shiplift shown is 1,000 t/lift capacity.
