The deal brings together two organisations focused on critical infrastructure protection, combining RMC’s cybersecurity and resilience expertise with ABS Consulting’s global scale and technical resources.

The companies said the integration will enable more comprehensive and coordinated solutions for clients facing increasingly complex operational and regulatory environments.

ABS chair and chief executive, John McDonald said the acquisition responds to growing pressures on industry. “Clients are facing increasing operational risk, cyber threats and regulatory pressure,” he said.

“Bringing together the expertise of RMC and ABS Consulting strengthens our ability to deliver even greater value and support for our clients through comprehensive, integrated solutions.”

He added that the deal reflects a strong cultural alignment between the two organisations, particularly in their shared focus on protecting critical systems and infrastructure. “ABS and RMC make a strong fit in mission and culture. Both organisations are focused on work with real-world impact,” he said.

ABS Consulting chief executive, David Wechsler described the acquisition as part of a broader growth strategy. “This acquisition builds on priority areas where we see sustained client demand and long-term growth opportunity,” he said. “The combination strengthens our ability to support our customers’ evolving operational risk, cyber threats, and regulatory demands.”

RMC Global president, Vince Kuchar said the partnership would enhance long-term resilience for clients. “By joining ABS with its 164-year mission, we are better positioned to support our clients today and to adapt alongside them in the years ahead,” he said.

The acquisition underscores increasing industry demand for integrated approaches to cybersecurity, risk and operational resilience.
