Importer

Volvo Penta has set itself the target of doubling marine commercial engine sales in the next three years. It hopes that its range of larger marine commercial engines, launched at last year?s SMM, will account for a large proportion of the sales increase. It has reported first year sales for the range, which offers outputs from 515-1,690kW for genset applications and 440-1,380kW for main propulsion applications, that “substantially exceeded expectations”. The company has also launched a modified version of its 16-litre engine, named the TAMD 165. This offers outputs of between 375-552kW.
