Aker inks another Volstad PSV

Volstad Shipping AS in Ålesund, Norway, has confirmed an agreement with Aker Yards, for the building of a platform supply vessel (PSV) of ST-216L CD type. This contract is the third of this type to be delivered from Aker Yards to Volstad Shipping. The Contract value is approximately $40 million and delivery is scheduled for June 2008 from Aker Yards, Brattvaag.

Designed by Skipsteknisk AS, the 93.40 m long, 19.20 m wide vessel will have a carrying capacity of 5,000 tonnes.
