Anti-vibration mounts

Trelleborg Industrial AVS has launched an anti-vibration mounting for small- and medium-sized engines. The Novibra SIM design features a strong corrosion-protected steel baseplate and a dome-shaped casing designed to shield the captive rubber element against oil contamination. Trelleborg says the combination of robust construction, together with moderate vertical stiffness and high axial stiffness, means marine engines can be mounted on Novibra SIM with or without thrust bearings. The new mounts are available in weights of 0.35kg to 2.03kg, with compounds between 40 IRH (International Rubber Hardness) and 70 IRH, to cope with a loading range of 50kg to 580kg.
