Baudouin adds to range

Importer

Baudouin has added the 6R123 engine to its range ? a slightly smaller version of its 6R124. The straight-six 123 is based on a Mack truck engine, has a swept volume of 11.1 litres (123mm x 156mm) and a continuous rating of 260kW (350 bhp) at 1,800 rev/min.

It has a bsfc of 160 g/kWh running on MDO, weighs just over one tonne and by using a shallow sump the total volume is kept to about 1m3. Individual cylinder heads are used and cooling can be via fresh or seawater.

The slightly larger, 12 litre R124SR.E receives electronically controlled unit injectors which takes its output to 338kW (460 bhp) for continuous operation with varying load.
