Ship repair Yard Gryfia has repaired a series of four 38,925 dwt bulk carriers for US owner Ocean Bay Management, Inc. Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, Lake Ontario, and Lake Erie were at the yard during January and February. With a 222.48m length oa, and 23.35m breadth, these are the biggest ships ever docked by the Polish yard.

The package included repairs to 33 hatch covers (steel renewals and 2,400m2 of coating), propeller, nozzle and rudder work, and repairs to hulls, cargo holds, ballast tanks and fuel tanks. Hulls and cargo holds were re-coated.

The ships were docked in Gryfia?s 15,000 tlc floating dock no 5, which measures 216m x 34.8m.
