Black Sea to get big shipyard

The biggest shipyard in the Black Sea region will be built in Trabzon, a city on the coast of northeastern Turkey. The foundation of the ?Yenicam Shipyard? will be laid this month.

The new shipyard will cost $28.3 million, employ 5,000 workers and is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2009. The yard will have the capacity to construct 90 ships and repair 200 ships per year.
