BNDES approves supply vessel construction loan

Brazil’s national development bank BNDES approved a $122 million loan for Companhia Brasileira de Offshore (CBO) to construct four multipurpose platform supply vessels (MPSV-3000) to provide support to oil rigs. The vessels, which will be financed by the Merchant Navy Fund, will be built by Alian?a Shipyard in Niteroi.

The design of the four vessels meets specifications that allow operations in other exploration areas, such as the North Sea.
