Bourbon chooses Ulstein

Ulstein Verft has been asked to build an ULSTEIN A102-type anchor-handling vessel for Bourbon Offshore Norway. The contract contains an option for a sistership.

This is the first time a vessel of the ULSTEIN A102-design is being constructed and is scheduled for delivery in July 2006 while the option is slated for delivery in January 2007. The design has been customized to Groupe Bourbon?s needs and has a bollard pull of 180 tonnes. It is 75.2 metres long, 17 metres wide and has a large 400-tonne winch.
