Bourbon moves up the rankings
With a fleet of 500 vessels averaging 6.3 years of age, Bourbon operates worldwide with over 11,000 employees providing local services through 28 operating affiliates.
“We are now realising the fruits of seeds sown over several years when we invested in a series of standardised vessels to achieve a global leadership position in our market,” said Gael Bodénès, chief operating officer.
Bourbon offers a range of vessels including the Bourbon Liberty series, which by the end of this year will include 111 next generation vessels, the Bourbon Evolution 800 series, the seismic support vessel series and the Bourbon Explorer 500 series, which is a new series of 20 PSVs launched this year.
As part of its growth strategy, Bourbon says it’s concentrating on centralising maintenance and personnel’s training through repair and training centres and its Plug & Play standard exchange system.
The company says by the end of 2015, the delivery of 34 vessels currently under construction will make the fleet even larger and better able to service the most demanding customers.
