Cadmatic software to improve Meyer design

The company will widen use of the software at its Turku shipyard in Finland and introduce it at its Papenburg and Rostock shipyards in Germany. It expects the investment to help streamline the company’s methods of working across its shipyards and with its subcontractors.

MEYER Turku CEO, Jan Meyer, said: “After technically evaluating for more than a year, we are convinced that CADMATIC Outfitting Design and data management software is the best choice for our complex and extreme scale cruise ship projects.”

He added that the partnership will also be a key element in the company’s bid to further digitalise its operations.

CADMATIC’s marine design software incorporates hull structure, outfitting, marine laser scans and weld manager and weld traceability.
