The new office is located at the Centum IS Tower, in Busan’s Haeundae district, and Sener expects it to boost its marine systems business in Asia Pacific as it enters the established Korean shipbuilding market.

The company estimates that about 80% of Korean shipyards have been using 3D CAD systems –representing about 20,000 licenses– for designing their ships. Many Korean shipbuilders and design subcontractors are expected to replace their CAD systems in the near future. Sener Korea is being set up to better respond the increasing demand for knowledge and services of Foran and to most efficiently convey to Sener headquarters the functional requirements of local shipbuilders.
