Carnival Celebration delivered
The vessel is the fleet’s newest Excel-class ship and sister to Mardi Gras, which was the largest cruise ship in the Carnival fleet when it was delivered. The Carnival Celebration has also been designated as the line’s 50th anniversary ship.
The theme can be seen in many ways in the ship’s interior, where elements from the shipping company’s previous ships have been assembled.
Despite the history and nostalgia, Carnival Celebration is firmly committed to the latest technologies: for example, the ship uses the most environmentally friendly fuel of the day, LNG.
Meyer Werft is building a third Excel-class ship for delivery in 2023.
