Castrol launches virtual vessel resource
Created using digital modelling techniques, Virtual Vessel provides detailed lubricant information and is claimed to represent a new information source for the shipping industry. It is available via the Castrol marine website.
Paul Lowther, global marketing communications manager for Castrol Marine Aviation & Energy Lubricants, said: “We want to make choosing the right marine lubricant as simple as possible for our customers, which is why we invest heavily in research and development to ensure our products deliver performance on which the industry can depend. Virtual Vessel provides a window into the expertise behind the performance”
Interactive vessels, including general cargo vessels, tankers and ro-ro ferries, allow users to identify detailed information on Castrol products according to their various applications around the vessel in a format that is claimed to be clear and easy to navigate. The interactive resource will give customers an insight into the applications of marine lubricants and the tool will also be available via touch screen at forthcoming conferences and exhibitions attended by Castrol.
