Chinese yard bags Kamsarmax order

The Sino-Korean-owned shipbuilder Jiangsu Hantong Ship Heavy Industry won an order for four 82,000 dwt bulk carriers plus four options from an unspecified domestic owner at a cost in the region of $33 million each.

These Kamsarmax vessels will be built at Hantong’s new facility called Jiangsu New Hantong Ship Heavy Industry, which is located in Zhenjiang city, Jiangsu province. Delivery of the first newbuilding is scheduled for May 2012.
