CMA CGM confirms con-ros

The French giant shipping company CMA CGM has ordered four new CON RO vessels from South Korea’s Hyundai Mipo for delivery in the second half of 2011. The new vessels will be dedicated to container, conventional and car transport and offer a 600-unit car capacity and a nominal capacity equivalent to 1,700 TEU. They will be deployed on CMA CGM affiliate Delmas?s Africa lines, in replacement of 1,300 TEU CON RO vessels. There was no mention of optional contracts.
