Cruise tourism has been increasing in the city over the last ten years while the number of cruise ships have been decreasing because the vessels have been getting larger.
According to the local press it will cost more than 200m kroner to establish a land power plant in the harbour area of Nordhavnen, which is owned by the City of Copenhagen, and this bill will need to be footed by the state.
