Cordless flashlight for tight spots

Tracer Products has introduced a cordless, rechargeable UV/blue leak detection flashlight called the Titan Stinger. It is designed to locate refrigerant and fluid leaks in tight engine compartments. The unit is 19cm long and weighs 247g. It has a polymer housing with a non-slip grip and uses a xenon gas-filled bulb. A spare bulb is stored in the tail cap. Power is via a rechargeable NiCd battery which delivers one hour of use. A wall-mounted charging cradle and AC charging cord are included. The unit has a dichroic filter lens which, says Tracer, produces more leak detection light than conventional lamps by making fluorescent dyes glow brighter.
