Cummins gensets for crane barge

The 240-man accommodation and work barge is under construction at Jiangsu Jiaolong Heavy Industry Group Co. (JHI) in China and is scheduled to be delivered in February 2011.

The 120m by 33.2m barge will be fitted with six Cummins K38-CP765DM/5 diesel gensets each rated for 832kWe and a KTA19-D(M1) emergency generator rated for 360kWe. The new barge is classed ABS, Accommodation & Work barge, MODUS code for unrestricted services.

A 520 tonne Japanese-built SKK pedestal crane has been installed by JHI for offshore operations in Southeast Asia.
