Custom engineered compressors

The new series will make TMC a complete supplier of compressors for offshore installations having previously only supplied compressor packages for the engine room.

Per Kjellin, managing director, TMC, said: “We are very pleased to include these offshore compressors in our portfolio. It’s a natural extension of our range and will mean we are able to meet customer demand for topside customised compressors.”

TMC’s new custom engineered compressors were recently chosen by Jurong Shipyard in Singapore for seven newbuild drillships to be operated by Sete Brazil.

The fourteen new compressors will be containerised, diesel driven, air cooled and used in conjunction with the burner boom operation.

But the compressors are available in a variety of different guises. They can also be custom engineered for water cooled systems and are compatible with electrical or hydraulic systems. They’re compact with a low noise level and are certified by all the major class societies.
