Daehan Shipbuilding in Korea clinched a 10,000 DWT multi-purpose vessel from the Dutch-based Normed Line with delivery of 2007. The company had previously ordered five similar units from the same yard with the first scheduled for delivery in June 2006.

The six-ship series are dual-purpose container-bulk carriers capable of carrying up to 687 TEUs or heavy bulk cargoes. The new 129.50 m long vessels are being built to a German design with removable tweendecks and two 60 tonne lift cranes. They will have a service speed of 16 knots.
