Daewoo develops LNG scaffolding

Daewoo Shipbuilding has developed a new scaffolding system for LNG tanks. The ever increasing orderbook for LNG carriers had led the shipbuilder to develop the new scaffolding for which a patent has been applied. The scaffolding is primarily designed for use inside LNG tanks to be installed on a 210,000-cu.m LNG carrier newbuilding. Daewoo claims the new scaffolding is about 30% lighter than the existing one.
