Daewoo increases panel production

The panel block shop at Daewoo has been modernized with new machinery including automatic welding machines which has increased output by 25%, i.e. from 4.5 to 5.7 blocks daily. The modernization plan was based on reports from its managers who inspected Japanese shipyards last year where it was established that the main competitive advantage of Japanese shipyards comes from their up-to-date and highly productive panel block shops.
