Daewoo wins $740m orders
Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co (DSME) received $740 million in orders to build a drill ship and an oil tanker. The vessels will be delivered by the end of 2010 to companies in Oceania and Europe.
DSME has received contracts worth $15.2 billion this year, achieving about 90% of the company’s full-year target of $17 billion. It had a backlog worth $33.3 billion at the end of August.
