Damen launches new PSV for Norway

The PSV 3300 series is a new range of Damen designed platform suppliers.

The 80m World Diamond was built and completed in Galati in cooperation with Damen Shipyards Gorinchem, which provided the design, engineering and main equipment for the vessel.

The main purpose of the vessel is the transport of different cargoes, including fuel, drinking water and salt brine, and to transport crews to and from offshore drilling rigs and production platforms in support of hydro carbon exploration and production activities.

The PSV 3300 can also carry conventional containers on deck for diverse cargo. Furthermore, this DP2 platform supplier vessel has fire-fighting capabilities and is provided with oil recovery equipment.

World Diamond fulfils the latest requirements of clean design and environmental protection standards of the major classification societies.

Damen cooperated on the project with a number of specialised suppliers, including: Eekels for the electrical equipment and installations, De Haan Galati for the air conditioning and ventilation, Helmers for the insulations, upholstery and furniture and Den Breejen and Johnson Control for painting and conservation.
