Desalinators for Singapore projects

Two desalinators are being supplied to Jurong Shipyardfor the Khannur, an LNG carrier owned by Golar LNG of Norway which is being converted to a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU). After conversion, the vessel will be renamed the West Java FSRU and installed at a location in Jakarta Bay, Indonesia where it will be operated by PT Nusantara Regus. Each unit will be able to produce 40 tonnes of fresh water per day. Fully automatic in design, they incorporate water quality sensing systems which test the product water electronically. Pure water is passed to a holding tank, while any which does not reach the standard is rejected and sent overboard.

The second order is from Jaya Shipbuilding which is building a 78.2m anchor handling/offshore support vessel for Java Marine Lines. The vessel will be equipped with two H2012 units to provide a daily output of 10 tonnes in total of potable water for drinking, cleaning and domestic purposes. These units are equipped with carbon filters which remove dissolved gases and improve the taste of the product water. They are being fitted with UV sterilisation units to ensure that the water is free from bacteria or parasites when held in storage tanks.

Cathelco, which acquired Seafresh in 2010, plans a re-design for its H20 series with the aim of achieving a smaller footprint, greater functionality, touch pad control and improved diagnostics to indicate when maintenance is required.
