Divestment of hull shipyard in Sweden

Bergen Group in Norway has signed a letter of intent with ?resundvarvet AB

regarding divestment of the Swedish hull shipyard Landskronavarvet AB north of Malmo. The divestment will give Bergen Group a limited accounting profit. A final sale is expected to be completed during 1st quarter of 2010.

Landskronavarvet AB became a part of Bergen Group ASA when the company acquired Fosen Yard in the autumn of 2008. Hull construction in Sweden is not included in Bergen Group’s strategy, and the activity at the Swedish hull shipyard has been phased out since the last hull delivery in August 2009.
