DNV puts register on-line

DNV has made its register of ships freely available on-line through its homepage http://www.dnv.com/registerofvessels. Users can search for vessels using the name (or part of name), former names, IMO registration number, or by the owner or manager?s name.

Having selected the required vessel the system displays the principal particulars and other technical data, owners and managers, class notations, and when the class certificates were issued.

n DNV is now a “notified body” and “third party organisation” authorised to approve all products covered by the EU?s Pressure Equipment Directive.
