ETA-Ascon plans to enter ship repairing

Dubai-based ETA-Ascon Group is studying the possibility of developing a ship repair facility that will serve its growing fleet of bulk carriers. “We are looking at starting with a build, operate and transfer (BOT) project on India’s east coast,” said Hameed Salahuddin, director of ETA-Ascon Group, one of the largest construction, real estate, trading and shipping conglomerates in the region. “The project is currently under study.

“We are also interested in setting up a shipyard to serve the growing fleet in the region as well as our own growing fleet.”
