Fincantieri delivers Costa newbuilding

Like her sister ships Costa Luminosa, the Costa Deliziosa is the cruise company’s top of the range offer with hi-tech entertainment and cutting-edge ship in terms of environmental compliance.

The

92,600 grt, 294m long newbuilding has a passenger capacity of 2,862 and was built at a cost of 450 million Euros. She is the third new cruiseship delivered by Fincantieri to the Costa in less than 9 months and is part of a 2.4 billion euro fleet expansion program with 5 new liners entering service between 2009 and 2012.

will be followed by the sister ships

Costa Favolosa

, due for delivery in summer 2011, and the

Costa Fascinosa

, which will make her debut in spring 2012.
