Fincantieri delivers Tirrenia ferry

Italian shipbuilder, Fincantieri, has delivered the 40,000 gt cruise ferry ?Sharden? to Tirrenia Navigazione. Built at Fincantieri?s shipyard in Castellammare di Stabia, this newbuilding completes the ferry company?s modernization programme. Measuring 214 metres long and 26 metres wide, it 30 knot vessel can transport 3,000 passengers and 1,085 cars between Civitavecchia and Olbia. The Sharden will run on this route together with her sister ship ?Nuraghes?, delivered last year by the same yard.
