First Chinese ship for Taiwan

The first ocean going ship built in mainland China for a Taiwan company will sail on its maiden voyage from Shanghai to South Africa on 10 June. The 289 metre 175,000DWT Cape size bulk carrier named ?China Peace? was built at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) for Taipei-based China Peace Shipping and flagged in Hong Kong.

SWS will deliver a sistership during the first half of next year.
